- Wire cutters
- Wire strippers
Cut Lengths of Wire
Step 1. Using your wire cutters, cut wire lengths anywhere from 2-6 inches. The length doesn’t matter as much as getting used to your wire cutting tool and knowing how much force to apply to cut the wire.
Step 2. Put the lengths of wire in a container for the next step.
Strip the Wire
Step 1. Using your wire stripper, remove about 1/4″ of insulation from each end of the wire.
Step 2. Check the consistency of your work. Did you improve as you went along?
