Audeze LCD-1 Audiophile Headphones Review

This may be stretching the budget a little, but at $399 we thought it might be fun to try out these Audeze LCD-1 headphones. We were looking for a pair of over ear headphones that would play louder without distortion and be comfortable for long listening sessions. Also, we wanted something that is easy to take on the go. These headphones seemed to fill the bill on all three counts. We love the memory foam ear pads and lightweight feel. The headphones are foldable and come with a zippered case for on-the-go listening. One thing to note if you aren’t too familiar with this level of headphones, the Audeze LCD-1 are wired and do not use Bluetooth for the best sound quality.

These cans use planar magnetic drivers. If you don’t know what that means we refer you to How To Geek’s explanation. These headphones are meant to be an entry level introduction to audiophile sound quality.
